The CrewFlo story
You talk to the person who builds it
I’m Isaac Mittan. I build CrewFlo, and I offer implementation services for teams that want help getting it running.
Our mission
CrewFlo is a field-first operations app for small to mid-sized teams in construction, agriculture, and the mechanical trades. It keeps tools and parts under control, storage consistent, jobs planned, and crews coordinated, so teams waste less time, lose fewer tools and parts, and get new hires up to speed faster.
Field businesses run on a lot that never gets written down: which trailer has the right tools, who fixed the tractor last, how the crew lead wants a floor prepped. When that lives in people’s heads and text threads, crews spend their day searching, guessing, and tracking people down, and the know-how leaves when they do.
What changes
- Less time wasted
- The right people stay on the right work, so there’s less confusion, duplicated effort, and waiting on answers.
- Fewer lost tools and parts
- Tools and parts are tracked across trucks, trailers, and job sites, so it’s clear where things are and who has them.
- Smoother onboarding
- A clear, consistent workflow gets new hires up to speed without long walkthroughs.
- Team coordination
- Everyone works from the same plan, so work happens in the right order with fewer mistakes.
How it works
- Create your organization. An admin sets up a workspace for your jobs, equipment, tools, and teams.
- Set up equipment and storage. Add your trucks, trailers, and shops, then the storage containers inside each one.
- Plan work from the Jobs dashboard. Create a job and build it out with equipment, teams, and tasks.
- Assign resources and people. Attach tools and parts to tasks, and assign team members to them.
- Run the job. Crews check out what they need, and each person sees the tasks assigned to them.
Implementation services
You can sign up and set CrewFlo up yourself. If you’d rather have help, implementation is available. I sit down with owners, managers, and crew leads to learn how work actually gets assigned, then set CrewFlo up around it, with your crews, equipment, locations, and templates in place before day one. After rollout I watch what gets used and simplify whatever slows people down.
Packages range from a guided setup to a full rollout with your crew.
Setting up the system often turns up things nobody was tracking. On one rollout, loading the data showed the same parts being ordered at two locations, and a piece of equipment being repaired more often than anyone realized.
How it’s built
CrewFlo is one app for Android and the web, so every feature lands on both. Each company’s data is kept separate at the database level, and what people can see and change follows their role.
Background
I started building CrewFlo in January 2025 while finishing a computer science degree at South Dakota State University. While in school I also worked on a production floor, where I redesigned how raw materials were processed to cut the labor it took.
